Get recommended when buyers ask AI.

Our team works with yours, 1:1. We find the questions your brand loses in ChatGPT, Gemini and Google, give each loss its cause, make the fix that answers it, and ask again until it moves.

What is GEO?

Generative engine optimization is the work of getting a brand named in the answers AI assistants give. An assistant names the businesses whose pages it can read, that say plainly what they do, that show who stands behind them, and that other sites it trusts mention too. GEO fixes the first three on your own site and works on the fourth with you.

How the program runs

Four stages, and the last one leads back to the first.

  1. 01MapWe work out with you the questions buyers ask before they choose, and track each as a search and as a prompt. mttr, our own reader, reads every page of your site.
  2. 02DiagnoseEvery question you lose gets one cause: no page, a page that does not answer, a page crawlers cannot read, or answers drawn from other sites.
  3. 03FixThe site changes are made in your own site, by your agents through our skills or by our team, with your approval where you want it, and each is checked on the live site. The work off your site we plan with your people.
  4. 04MeasureOn a schedule we agree, the same questions are asked again and the site is read again, Google and assistants side by side, and we keep what moved.

Lost questions, and why

Every lost question gets a cause.

A sample of what the first weeks find, for a made up software brand. Each row is a question its buyers ask, the reason the brand is not named, and what is wrong.

  • Is Relaybase SOC 2 compliant? No pageNothing on the site answers it, so assistants answer from a forum thread.
  • Relaybase or Ping CRM for a team of ten?ElsewhereAssistants cite two roundups. One skips Relaybase, one has last year’s price.
  • How much does Relaybase cost per seat?UnreadableThe prices are drawn by script, so crawlers get an empty table.

Why a question is lost

Every lost question has one of four causes, and each asks for a different fix.

Own

No page answers it

Write the one page that does. A new page only where nothing on the site answers.

Own

A page exists but does not answer

Make that page answer in its first lines, rather than adding a second page on the same question.

Own

Crawlers cannot read the page

Fix access first: words in the HTML, crawlers let in, the page indexable. Nothing else counts until then.

Claim, earn, contest

Assistants answer from other sites

Claim the listings you can take over, earn the reviews and mentions, and contest what is wrong or out of date.

Questions

How is this different from SEO?

SEO earns a place in a list of links. GEO earns a mention inside an answer. Most of the work overlaps: a page an assistant can read, understand and trust also ranks. What is new is asking the questions buyers ask an assistant, and working on the sites assistants read besides your own.

How do you measure it?

Two ways, kept apart. mttr reads the site and scores how well formed its pages are. Separately, we ask the tracked questions in the assistants and on Google and record who is named. A score says pages are well formed; it does not say an assistant cites you. The asked questions say whether it does.

Can you guarantee a recommendation?

No one honestly can. We can make sure nothing on your site stands in the way, fix the causes we can name, and show you what moved.

What does it cost?

It depends on how many sites and questions, and how much of the fixing your own team does. We say it in writing after the first call.
